  • Operate a variety of machines following established company procedures and safety guidelines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and quality specifications
  • Set up and manufacture complete parts from engineering drawings minimizing scrap and rework
  • Set up and operate machining department equipment Bridgeport, Bar Stock saw, band saw, drill press, manual lathe Perform machining operations including turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, and tapping

  • Perform part inspection using precision measuring instruments First article inspection per prescribed inspection plan Inspect and record succeeding parts for conformance to specification

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditions
  • Performs other duties as assigned and/or required
  • Must be able to set up manual mills with fixtures/vise and tooling changes
  • Experience in job shop environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Experience using shop measuring tools (such as mics, calipers, & tape measure) and related mathematical concepts
  • Must be trainable and able to work with minimal direction
  • Adherence to safe work practices
