Managing Director / Operator – Digital Marketing Agency (Build from Zero)

About This Role

We are seeking a highly capable and commercially driven Managing Director / Operator to build and lead a digital marketing agency from the ground up.

This is a full-time role for someone who can take a business from zero setup (no clients, no team, no systems) to a fully operational, revenue-generating agency.

The company is already established in the UAE with trade license, banking, and infrastructure in place. Everything beyond that — strategy, execution, client acquisition, and team build — will be your responsibility.

The Opportunity

This role is suited to someone who wants to run and build a business, not simply manage campaigns.

You will start in a lean, remote setup with a clear mandate:

• Generate revenue early
• Build a scalable service offering
• Establish systems and delivery capability
• Grow into a structured agency with office premises and a managed team

The long-term objective is to build a fully operational agency with a physical presence in Dubai and a stable client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy from scratch
• Generate new business through outbound and inbound channels
• Build and launch the agency’s website and core offering
• Identify and manage freelancers / outsourced delivery partners
• Deliver and oversee marketing campaigns (performance-led focus)
• Build processes, reporting structures, and client management systems
• Scale into a structured team and transition into office-based operations
• Take full ownership of revenue, performance, and business growth

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in digital marketing with strong commercial exposure
• Demonstrated ability to generate revenue (not just run campaigns)
• Experience working in or building within an agency environment
• Ability to operate independently and make decisions without hand-holding
• Strong understanding of:
• Paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn)
• Lead generation strategies
• Website builds / landing pages
• Outsourcing and managing delivery teams
• Comfortable starting remotely and transitioning to building a physical office and team

Ideal Candidate

• Previously a senior operator within an agency (e.g. Head of Performance, Senior Account Lead, Agency Manager)
• Or currently running freelance / small agency operations and ready to scale
• Highly self-motivated, structured, and commercially focused
• Understands the realities of building from zero (not reliant on existing client base)

Performance Expectations (Critical)

• Early-stage focus on client acquisition and revenue generation
• Clear activity levels (outreach, meetings, pipeline development)
• Weekly reporting required (daily reporting initially during setup phase)
• Ability to demonstrate traction within the first 60–90 days

Compensation

• Base salary: AED 18,000 – 25,000 per month
• Performance-based incentives linked to revenue and growth
• Salary progression aligned with business performance and scale

Working Structure

• Full-time role
• Remote initially (mandatory)
• Transition to office-based setup as the business grows
• Planned future office location: Dubai (Business Bay / JLT preferred)

This role requires someone who can build, execute, and deliver results from day one.
