Manager - Testing

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and design teams to understand product test requirements and product functionality.
• Ensure operator safety and understand software, hardware, fixturing, and test-environment interactions.
• Guide automation solutions and the development of test engineering plans.
• Oversee resource budgeting, allocation, review, and approval.
• Track project progress, risks, and performance through regular reviews.
• Maintain control systems and reports to measure progress, identify technical problems, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Participate in design input, product architecture, feasibility, and design output technical reviews.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified, motivated team.
• Guide or sponsor continuous improvement projects and segment or site initiatives.

Experience and qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a similar field is required.
• A master’s degree in software engineering or a similar field, or an MBA, is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including technical business experience, is required.
• The role calls for functional, technical, people, and process management skills; strong customer relationships; and creative investigation and problem-solving skills.
