About Technology Strategy
The Technology Strategy team advises organizations on technology-led reinvention, business value, operating models, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies such as generative AI.
The manager will lead strategy and architecture engagements for Energy industry clients and serve as a trusted advisor to senior client leaders.
Technology strategy responsibilities
- Advise C-suite leaders and articulate technology visions aligned with business strategy, growth, and competitive advantage.
- Assess technology capabilities and investments to identify value-creation opportunities.
- Define transformation strategies, target-state architectures, technology roadmaps, operating models, and business cases.
- Lead architecture assessments and turn findings into actionable recommendations and practical transformation plans.
- Collaborate across applications, infrastructure, platforms, data, and business stakeholders.
- Create thought leadership and market-relevant insights on technology strategy and innovation.
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, modeling, and scenario analysis, and validate AI-assisted analysis.
Manager responsibilities
- Manage a project or major workstream, deliver team outcomes, and supervise and mentor team members.
- Lead technology strategy, architecture assessment, blueprinting, and roadmap engagements for Energy clients.
- Develop executive strategies, transformation roadmaps, business cases, and target-state blueprints.
- Build client relationships, facilitate executive workshops, and gain consensus in complex client environments.
- Support business development through opportunity identification, proposals, and statements of work.
- Coach junior team members and contribute to thought leadership and intellectual capital.
- Travel as needed.
Required qualifications
- At least one year of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm.
- At least five years in one or more of technology strategy, transformation, architecture, operating model strategy, M&A technology integration, or technology value realization and cost optimization.
- At least five years developing business cases, technology strategies, or transformation roadmaps.
- At least two years leading teams, facilitating workshops, and developing strategic recommendations.
- Experience developing technology architecture blueprints, target-state strategies, or transformation roadmaps.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline.
Bonus qualifications
- Energy client experience, technology architecture assessments, and future-state architecture definition are bonuses.
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree is a bonus.
- AI tool use, critical evaluation of AI outputs, executive communication, stakeholder management, and coaching experience are bonuses.
- Practical technology transformation roadmaps and implementation strategy experience are bonuses.
Compensation
- The stated annual salary range for British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick is CAD 125,950 to CAD 236,000; compensation varies by location, role, skills, and experience.
