Role overview
Own procurement and supply chain end to end for a distributor serving dealers across Canada.
Lead two Buyers and a Logistics Coordinator; the role is based in Abbotsford, BC.
What you will own
- Run A-SKU classification, safety stock, and reorder points to protect product availability.
- Reduce slow-moving and excess inventory while maintaining productive inventory levels.
- Own dealer pricing and margins, responding quickly to cost changes.
- Hold suppliers to lead times and maintain accurate warehouse ETAs.
- Set team roles and scorecards, and coach and develop the team.
- Help lead the NetSuite ERP launch.
Candidate requirements
- Have owned purchasing and inventory for a distributor, wholesaler, or retailer with a large SKU catalogue.
- Have led buyers or a procurement team and developed team members.
- Be comfortable owning pricing and margins, including exchange-rate, freight, and supplier-program impacts.
- Use demand, sales history, and lead-time data to make decisions.
- Have experience working in an ERP; NetSuite or ERP rollout experience is a plus.
- Take ownership of outcomes and make timely decisions.
Compensation and benefits
- Base pay is $90,000–$110,000 per year, plus profit sharing.
- Benefits begin after three months; benefits include health and dental coverage, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and vision care.
- Additional offerings include four weeks of vacation, daily lunch, free parking, company events, and quarterly reviews.
Workplace and travel
- Full-time, in-person role at the Abbotsford, BC office; remote and hybrid work are not offered.
- Travel is expected one to two times a year for a convention or training.
Performance measures
Measures include A-SKU availability, annual inventory turns with a target of 4–8, gross profit, inbound on-time delivery, and team performance.
