Section I: Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing comprehensive smart technologies across residential and commercial projects within ARM Holding.
They will oversee the implementation of smart technologies alongside ICT infrastructure, covering areas such as mobility, smart home automation, access control, parking systems, IoT integration, and CRM-connected mobile applications.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in IoT protocols, system configurations, and the interaction between controllers, readers, and software within an integrated smart environment.
Additionally, the role holder will ensure robust physical, network, and data security across all smart solutions, while supporting the efficient and secure operation of the ICT systems that enable them.
Section II: Key Responsibilities
- Design Development and Management of Smart Solutions
- Lead the design and implementation of IoT based smart solutions for the existing and ongoing projects, focusing on smart Community/buildings, environmental monitoring, energy efficiency, security, smart parking, cloud platforms, etc.
- Manage and oversee implementation of the overall Digital Twin platform for effective management of smart solutions.
- Should be able to integrate smart devices using protocols like MQTT, Zigbee, Z-Wave, KNX, OSDP, Wiegand, BLE, and NFC.
- Monitor IoT network performance and troubleshoot any issues related to system integration or device connectivity.
- Manage and configure controller, gateways, online hub, readers, Intercom, ANPR etc.
- Close collaboration with enterprise business application team to provide smart digital solutions integrated with business applications.
System Configuration & Device Management
- Manage system-level configuration for (but not limited to):
- IoT Controllers and Hubs
• ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Systems
- Smart Readers (Biometric, RFID, BLE/NFC enabled)
• Intercoms, Access Terminals, Smart Locks
- Ensure seamless data flow and system operations via real-time communications.
- Digital Twin platform.
IT Infrastructure
- Working knowledge of enterprise-wide Wi-Fi, LANs, WANs, VLANs, VPNs etc.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, Data bases, network design, firewalls, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, encryption technologies, certificate services, system monitoring, and management.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as Office 365, AWS and Azure is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., Manage Engine, ServiceNow).
- Strong Knowledge of fibre and copper cables.
System Integration and Deployment
- Oversee end-to-end deployment of IoT/ smart devices across properties, ensuring smooth integration with existing building management systems (BMS), Existing ARM applications (i.e. Salesforce, Office 365, Mobile Apps) and continuous data monitoring.
- Ensure seamless integration of IoT, security systems, and property management platforms for cohesive and efficient ICT infrastructure.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Collect and analyze IoT device data to generate insights that optimize property management decisions, such as energy use, HVAC, lighting, utility management, etc.
- Use data-driven strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance property performance.
- Provide regular reports on system health, performance, and potential security risks to management
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Regularly assess the health and performance of smart systems and ICT infrastructure, ensuring they meet operational, security, and compliance standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to IoT networks and devices to minimize downtime.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement security measures for smart systems, including encryption and secure device authentication, to protect property and tenant data.
- Ensure systems adhere to industry regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards, including GDPR ISO/IEC 27001 and CIS controls framework.
- Collaboration and Support
- Work with facility management, development, and IT teams to deliver smart solutions that align with business goals and improve resident experiences.
- Provide training and ongoing technical support to non-technical teams to ensure the effective use and maintenance of smart systems.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends to propose innovative solutions that improve building operations and tenant engagement.
- Continuously enhance the performance, scalability, and efficiency of smart solutions across properties.
Project Management
- Lead the implementation of ICT and smart solutions, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting milestones.
- Coordinate with projects and FM teams to oversee the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of IoT/smart systems, network, and security systems.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electrical, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNA
- IoT Standards (e.g., KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, OSDP)
- Smart City solutions.
Experience
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of proven experience in managing ICT and smart solutions infrastructure, with a strong focus on IoT based solutions, home automation, Access Control Systems, CCTV, mobility, parking management, etc.
- Previous experience in implementing smart community/building technologies in real estate industry is required.
- Proven experience with:
- SDK-based mobile app integration.
- Smart parking, home automation, and ANPR solutions
- Protocols such as MQTT, Zigbee, OSDP, KNX, and Wiegand
- Expertise in networking, server management, cloud solutions, and security standards.
- Familiarity with smart city infrastructure, including smart solutions for Parking Management, Visitor Management, energy management, Mobility and sustainability initiatives.
- Familiarity with the integration of building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
Skills
- Proficiency in planning and designing smart city infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of IoT device ecosystems, controllers, and integration layers.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, cloud platforms, and security principles.
- Practical knowledge of system interoperability, mobile SDKs and 3rd party integrations.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-driven surveillance systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Capable of managing multiple projects.
