Role overview

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end healthcare data and AI architecture, including lakehouse platforms, integration layers, and analytics workbenches.
• Design enterprise data models, interoperability frameworks, and exchange patterns across hospitals, clinics, labs, insurers, and regulators.
• Architect HIE solutions that enable secure data sharing across EHR and clinical systems.
• Define ML, GenAI, and agentic AI use cases such as predictive care, population health, capacity planning, and operational optimisation.
• Establish AI lifecycle, MLOps, and deployment approaches aligned with enterprise, clinical, and regulatory standards.
• Develop governance controls for data quality, metadata, cataloguing, consent, privacy, residency, security, and usage policies.
• Support operating model design, CoE setup, and healthcare ecosystem data and AI capability building.
• Advise senior stakeholders on data strategy, AI adoption, solution shaping, and transformation roadmaps.

Experience and qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in data, AI, cloud, solution architecture, healthcare technology, or large-scale digital transformation.
• Strong exposure to healthcare or public-sector transformation programmes.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms, interoperability layers, integration patterns, and analytics ecosystems.
• Track record across strategy, architecture, implementation, and production delivery.
• Ability to explain complex technical topics to senior healthcare, government, business, and technology stakeholders.
• Consulting or significant client-facing delivery experience in complex multi-stakeholder environments.

Technical expertise

• Data architecture experience with lakehouse and distributed platforms, data mesh, integration layers, and analytics workbenches.
• Interoperability expertise involving HIE, HL7, FHIR, integration engines, API layers, and cross-organisation exchange.
• AI expertise across ML, GenAI, agentic AI, MLOps, AI lifecycle management, and platform integration.
• Hands-on enterprise LLM platform experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI GPT, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI applied to healthcare.
• Healthcare NLP and document intelligence exposure, including clinical summarisation, coding support, discharge note extraction, document search, or care pathway assistance.
• Safe healthcare AI understanding, including prompt governance, grounding/RAG, human review, clinical validation, and responsible AI controls.
• Data management expertise in governance, cataloguing, metadata, quality, access controls, consent, privacy, and residency.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and secure, scalable enterprise architecture patterns.

Healthcare domain experience

• Experience with clinical, claims, insurance, pharmacy, and regulatory reporting data.
• Experience with HIE or equivalent cross-organisation health exchange environments.
• Exposure to population health, patient risk stratification, care coordination, capacity planning, or operational performance analytics.
• Comfort operating in regulated environments with senior healthcare, government, and ecosystem stakeholders.

Advantageous experience and technologies

• National, emirate-level, or large healthcare data platform experience is advantageous.
• Experience bridging healthcare strategy, data governance, interoperability, and AI delivery is advantageous.
• Familiarity with healthcare privacy, consent, residency, clinical validation, or responsible AI requirements is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud-native healthcare data platforms, modern integration stacks, and secure API architectures is advantageous.
• Arabic language skills or previous work in the GCC healthcare ecosystem are advantageous.
• Potential technologies include Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake, vector databases, MLflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, and enterprise governance platforms.
