About the team

VaynerX Production Services supports production operations, technology, finance, and strategy across VaynerX entities and pods.

The team operates across the organization to promote consistent, scalable production practices.

Role overview

The Manager, Production Technology supports editorial and post-production workflows across VaynerX.

The role combines hands-on assistant editing and technical support with company-wide process and policy development.

The manager works with the Director of Technology and supports editors, assistant editors, and production teams.

Editorial workflow operations

  • Oversee active editorial workflows, assist with media ingest, prep, conform, and delivery, and ensure projects are correctly set up.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and oversee naming, archive and retention policy, storage capacity, proxy and offline/online workflows, and dailies.
  • Prepare projects for finishing, conform, color, sound, and delivery; ensure media is organized, backed up, and archived.
  • Coordinate with Production, Editorial, Post, and IT teams to align workflows with production timelines and resolve technical issues.

Training, systems, and improvement

  • Provide technical guidance and training to editors, assistant editors, and production staff; support onboarding of staff and freelancers.
  • Lead global Frame.io implementation, including account and project structure, permissions, integrations, training, documentation, and support.
  • Implement and test tools, plug-ins, and workflow solutions; document editorial pipelines and project setup standards.
  • Identify recurring inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and stay current on editorial technologies.

Experience and qualifications

  • Requires 6–8+ years in post-production technical roles, assistant editing, and editorial workflow management.
  • Requires commercial editorial pipeline knowledge from ingest through final delivery and experience supporting high-volume commercial or agency teams.
  • Requires advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and After Effects.
  • Requires knowledge of media formats, codecs, color pipelines, delivery specifications, and Frame.io workflows at scale.
  • Requires experience with shared storage and cloud workflows, strong troubleshooting, and clear technical communication and documentation.
  • Requires willingness to respond to production needs outside standard hours when they arise.

Workplace

  • The position is designated hybrid and is subject to company attendance and in-office requirements, which may change.

Salary

  • Salary is listed as USD 90,000–110,000 yearly.
