We are currently recruiting for a
Manager-Procurement
to join our Supply Chain Management team in Dubai.
Scope
: Manager-Procurement is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services to support Transguard`s operations.
This role ensures cost-effective procurement strategies, supplier performance management, and alignment with business objectives.
The procurement manager will work closely with the Head of Supply Chain Management to implement strategic sourcing initiatives that complement broader supply chain goals, driving efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability.
Financial
- Develop strategies: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company’s financial objectives, ensuring cost efficiency across all purchasing activities.
- leadership initiatives: Lead initiatives to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms from suppliers, maximizing cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Financial performance analysis: Oversee and monitor procurement spending, providing regular insights and reports on cost performance, budget adherence, and purchasing efficiency.
Customer
- Internal collaboration: Collaborate with internal stake holders to understand their requirements to ensure the timely procurement of materials and services that meet their needs.
- Clear communication: Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and efficient resolution of any supply issues.
- Feedback management: Continuously seek feedback from internal stakeholders to improve procurement process and enhance service delivery.
Process
- Team leadership: Lead and manage a team of Senior buyers to develop and execute procurement strategies in line with the procurement policy.
- Streamline operations: Develop and implement standardized procurement processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and transparency across all procurement activities.
- Leverage technology: Utilize ERP system to automate workflows, improve data accuracy and reduce manual tasks.
- Continuous improvement: Regularly review procurement practices, identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational performance.
Innovation
- Drive innovation: Identify and implement innovative procurement practices and process improvements.
- Technology adoption: Lead the adoption of new procurement technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Sustainable and ethical sourcing: Lead initiatives to incorporate environmentally responsible and sustainable practices into procurement, reducing the organization`s carbon footprint and supporting corporate social responsibility.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Five years’ experience in a similar position.
- Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role within the business service sector.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
