Lead warehouse and logistics operations in India.
Ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective goods flow across receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, transportation, and customs.
Account for service levels, inventory accuracy, resource planning, continuous improvement, team development, and local and global logistics initiatives.
Role responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Manage transportation, shipping, imports, carrier selection, freight coordination, and delivery performance.
- Oversee customs clearance, trade compliance, dangerous goods, and transport-law matters.
- Manage export obligations and incentive schemes including Advance Licence, EPCG, Duty Drawback, IGST refunds, and RoDTEP.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through physical inventory, cycle counts, FIFO, shelf-life controls, and obsolete-stock management.
- Optimize warehouse layout, space, replenishment, stock levels, route planning, and workstation capacity.
- Improve processes, document procedures, and lead or contribute to local and global logistics projects.
- Plan resources and develop team capability through onboarding, training, qualification, and safe equipment operation.
Role requirements
- BCOM, BE, or any relevant degree.
- At least five years of commercial and logistics operations experience.
- Working proficiency in English, Kannada, Hindi, and Tamil.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse, transportation, shipping, import/export, and customs processes.
- Understanding of trade compliance, government incentive schemes, and product-related import certifications such as IMEI, EPR, and e-waste certificates.
- Business planning, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and effective performance under pressure.
- Collaborative, motivating leadership style with employee training, development, and team qualification experience.
