  • Create reusable architecture patterns, principles, standards, reference models, roadmaps, templates, and operating practices.
  • Define measures for architecture initiatives and communicate recommendations, progress, and business value to executives.
  • Lead and develop enterprise architects; build partnerships and ensure architecture is involved early in strategy and investment decisions.
  • Lead architecture governance covering review processes, decision rights, exceptions, technical debt, dependencies, and enterprise risks.
  • Guide build, buy, reuse, integration, modernization, and retirement decisions; set guardrails for AI, cloud, Agile, DevOps, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Model responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward-thinking organizational behaviours.

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business technology management, or a related discipline; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • At least eight years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, software architecture, or a related field.
  • At least five years leading enterprise architects, senior technical professionals, or multidisciplinary technology teams.
  • Experience developing technology strategies, target-state architectures, standards, capability models, and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Experience maturing architecture practices and leading governance, standards, technical debt, and architectural risk management.
  • Experience guiding architecture in complex custom-built software and modern delivery environments; broad knowledge of applications, integration, data, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and software engineering.
  • Strong executive partnership and communication skills, including resolving competing priorities, guiding investment decisions, and demonstrating measurable value.

Compensation and benefits

  • Annual salary is CAD 150,000–165,000.
  • Benefits include a defined-benefit pension, four weeks of first-year vacation, health and dental options, additional days off, optional leave, and development opportunities.

Offer conditions

  • An offer requires consent to and successful clearance of a criminal record check, and confirmation of legal entitlement to work in Canada.
  • Assessments may begin before the application closing date.
