Position summary
Leads security policy development, program administration, and information security compliance for the organization and its group companies.
Designs and implements risk management and business continuity planning strategies.
Information security and compliance
- Direct security policies and programs and align them with business objectives.
- Coordinate security policy dissemination with system administration teams and other custodians.
- Promote security awareness and restrict unauthorized use of data systems and databases.
- Evaluate emerging network security technologies, ensure compliance, investigate security incidents, and take preventive measures.
Risk, continuity, and reporting
- Develop and assess a risk management framework.
- Plan business continuity and disaster recovery; periodically review data recovery plans and arrange necessary off-site storage.
- Manage information systems disaster recovery and prepare accurate departmental reports.
Team and continuous improvement
- Set team objectives, recruit and develop staff, manage performance, provide feedback, and ensure required training.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership as required.
- Ensure quality procedures are followed and identify improvements to systems, processes, cost, and productivity.
- Recommend and implement approved organizational policies, procedures, and information security standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or engineering.
- CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a similar environment.
