Responsibilities
- Develop category strategies and plans with Finance and stakeholders, and secure alignment on sourcing methodologies.
- Set category targets and track savings, value creation, budgets, timelines, and Annual Procurement Plan delivery.
- Analyze spend, demand, procurement trends, markets, and suppliers to identify optimization opportunities.
- Lead RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, tenders, supplier evaluations, and contract awards; facilitate evaluation criteria and proposal assessment.
- Negotiate supplier pricing, commercial terms, and contracts; support contract and service agreement management.
- Improve and automate procurement processes and sourcing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and Delegation of Authority requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, address commercial, contractual, and operational issues, and report KPIs to leadership.
- Mentor and develop team members and UAE National talent.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of procurement experience, including at least five years in a managerial role.
- Proven indirect procurement category management experience in a large, complex organization.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Experience leading competitive tendering and delivering procurement savings.
- Understanding of procurement best practices, governance frameworks, and sourcing methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; experience developing talent and leading teams.
- An MBA and/or CIPS certification is preferred.
