• This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed infrastructure team.
• Own strategy and roadmaps across compute, networking, storage, control planes, reliability, and cloud efficiency.
• Improve capacity management, failure isolation, observability, rollout safety, incident learning, and on-call sustainability.
• Build automation, paved paths, and self-service infrastructure for engineering teams.
• Use AI-enabled workflows to improve execution, operational analysis, and toil reduction.
• Hire and develop an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including 2+ years directly managing software or infrastructure engineers.
• Experience leading and developing an established engineering team.
• Strong background in production infrastructure, cloud platforms, or distributed systems at scale.
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives and translating strategy into measurable results.
• Strong communication, technical judgment, and cross-team alignment skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading infrastructure for a large-scale cloud or distributed platform.
• Experience with multi-region public cloud, container orchestration, and declarative infrastructure.
• Experience leading modernization, reliability, disaster-recovery, or cloud-efficiency initiatives.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.
• Practical experience using AI-enabled tools to improve engineering effectiveness.
