Role overview

Workday Finance and planning

• Own the Workday ERP Finance roadmap and optimize capabilities, workflows, reporting, integrations, security, and user experience.
• Coordinate enhancements, releases, regression and user acceptance testing, deployment, stabilization, and post-release validation.
• Advance Adaptive Planning for forecasting, scenario analysis, reporting, and self-service management views.
• Oversee planning models, assumptions, integrations, security, workflows, documentation, training, and support.

AI, automation, and process transformation

• Develop a portfolio of practical AI, automation, data, and analytics opportunities across Finance activities.
• Assess business value, feasibility, data readiness, controls, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• Redesign recurring Finance processes, initially focusing on close, reconciliations, management reporting, and quarterly forecasting.
• Translate requirements into user stories, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, implementation plans, and operating procedures.

Adoption, governance, and benefits

• Provide role-based training, working sessions, job aids, demonstrations, office hours, and coaching; support Finance super users and champions.
• Track adoption, user feedback, proficiency, process compliance, and barriers, and adjust enablement accordingly.
• Govern Finance technology demand and coordinate vendors, deliverables, service levels, issues, costs, risks, and knowledge transfer.
• Define benefit measures and report progress, risks, decisions, and realized value to Finance leadership.
• Ensure production solutions have an owner, documented controls, support procedures, audit evidence, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Finance, finance transformation, enterprise systems, FP&A, reporting, process improvement, analytics, technology delivery, or consulting.
• Workday Financial Management and Workday Adaptive Planning experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial close, reconciliations, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and audit requirements.
• Experience leading system enhancements or transformation through requirements, design, testing, deployment, adoption, and stabilization.
• Practical fluency in AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, data visualization, analytics, and process mapping.
• Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Power BI, SQL, or comparable tools are assets.
• Business case, benefits measurement, vendor and project management, change leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder influence skills.
• Commitment to responsible AI, data governance, financial controls, privacy, security, and auditability; able to work independently and mobilize teams.
• CPA, MBA, or relevant transformation, product, project, change, or technology certification is an asset.
• English proficiency is required.
