Role Overview
The Archaeologist will primarily support the Section 106 component of environmental reviews associated with HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant Disaster Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funding.
The position collaborates with team members across multiple projects and supports timely, compliant delivery of client goals.

Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, required
- Software:
- Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and end-user database tools, required
- Knowledge of ESRI tools (e.g., ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online), preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe applications (including Word and Excel), preferred
- Language:
- Spanish, required
- Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the history and prehistory of Puerto Rico
- Understanding of applicable state and federal historic preservation and environmental laws (including Section 106/NEPA context)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to produce high-quality, compliant documentation
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and workflows in a client-delivery environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ESRI tools (e.g., ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online), preferred
