Foster and maintain confidence in the financial services industry in the DIFC.
Conduct investigations, enforce the regulatory framework and initiate action against parties that fail to meet statutory obligations.
Enforcement responsibilities
- Prevent, detect and restrain conduct that damages or may damage the reputation of the DIFC.
- Receive, assess and respond to allegations of misconduct.
- Conduct investigations, prepare briefs of evidence and support litigation activities.
- Support DFSA supervisory divisions and participate in outreach promoting the DFSA’s objectives.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement departmental policies, systems, processes and procedures in line with procedural and legislative requirements.
- Share ongoing risk management responsibility and promote a strong risk culture under the DFSA Risk Management Framework.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in law, accounting, finance or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of regulatory or prosecutorial experience, emphasizing investigation, litigation and prosecution of offenders.
- Knowledge of financial services, regulation, investigations, court procedure and practice.
Knowledge and skills
- Good investigation and advocacy skills and legal acumen.
- English language skills; Arabic is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal, teamwork, written and oral communication skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills; manages workflows, delivers results and is organized and punctual.
