Manager - EM Demand & Distribution Planner

Role Details

Strategic Responsibilities

• Provide long-term forecasts for annual budgets and long-range planning.
• Support improvement initiatives for products across portfolios.
• Perform market analysis using IMS data, customer contracts, and related inputs.
• Revise finished-goods inventory norms and obtain business head sign-off.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to capture customer feedback and monitor service levels.
• Collaborate with global supply planning and central supply planners on long-range plant capacity planning.

Operational Responsibilities

• Create statistical base forecasts and facilitate bottom-up forecast creation.
• Develop consensus forecasts with sales and marketing teams and share them with supply planning.
• Maintain master data for inventory norms, transit lead times, forecasts, orders, expiry, open deliveries, and NPL indicators.
• Review production plans and provide inputs on SKU prioritization and plan adjustments.
• Represent the portfolio in pre-S&OP and S&OP forums and escalate demand changes with supporting analysis.
• Monitor finished-goods inventory, slow- and non-moving stock, dispatch plans, and warehouse dispatches.
• Coordinate demand-side activities for new product launches and drive actions from NPL meetings.
• Deliver and improve supply chain metrics including customer OTIF, forecast accuracy, pending orders, inventory, transport mode mix, dispatch timeliness, and write-off costs.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Operations Management, or BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or B.Pharm/M.Pharm.
• 5–8 years of experience, including 3–4 years in demand planning and inventory management.
• Mid-management experience in at least one area, with exposure to at least two areas, from demand planning and supply planning.

Travel

• Travel estimate is up to 30%.
