Manager, Building Operations

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant and effective facility operations, including life-safety systems, regulatory compliance, security and emergency response.
• Lead the Building Operations team and oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, mechanical and security systems.
• Plan and execute facilities projects, repairs, maintenance and improvements with employees, contractors and tenants.
• Serve as Safety Officer and contribute to the organization’s HSE governance framework.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in facilities management, engineering, architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years managing complex buildings.
• Recognized related trade certification or courses through Skilled Trades Ontario or an eligible provincial equivalent.
• Maintain valid health and safety and first aid certifications; hold a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated project management experience and extensive understanding of building operating systems, repairs, projects and maintenance.
• Experience developing, managing and improving preventive and planned maintenance schedules.

Compensation

• Pay is $78,730 to $112,462 per year.

• Work location is in person at Vineland Station, Ontario; the stated location is not accessible by public transportation.
