Management Accountant

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play an important role supporting financial performance and decision making across the business.Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will see you working closely with stakeholders across MFG, providing meaningful financial analysis, reporting and insights to help teams understand performance and make informed commercial decisions.This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, building relationships across a business and identifying opportunities to improve the way things are done.What you'll be doingPrepare and analyse monthly management reporting, providing clear commentary on business performanceComplete variance analysis across actual results, budgets and forecastsPartner with cost centre owners and Department Heads to help them understand and manage their financial performancePrepare monthly management and ad hoc reporting to support business decision-makingParticipate in the annual budgeting process and support forecasting, review and challengeAct as a Finance representative on relevant business projectsIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, controls and reportingWork collaboratively across the wider Finance team to continually improve service deliveryAbout you3-5 years' relevant accounting experienceA tertiary qualification in accounting and CA or CPA qualificationStrong management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, analysis and commentaryAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilityA high level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExperience within retail, FMCG or another multi-site environment will be highly regardedAbout us With more than 250+ stores and 2200+ employees nationally, we are Australia's leading retailer and wholesaler of fashion and comfort footwear, owning and operating some of Australia's most iconic brands, including Bobux, The Trybe, Midas, mollini, Mathers, Williams, diana ferrari, and Australia's largest online footwear retailer, Styletread!
