Male Online Quality Controller (Food Manufacturing)

Overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Monitor food handling, preparation, and storage processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, etc).
• Maintain accurate documentation and records (batch records, COAs, test results, organoleptic and chemical test, etc.).
• Operate and calibrate QC instruments like pH meter, weighing scale, thermometer, viscometer, etc.
• Ensure temperature control and monitoring systems are functioning and recorded as required.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Dubai Municipality regulations
• Identify and manage non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor the cleanliness and sanitation of the premises, equipment, tools, machinery, and delivery vehicles.
• Perform line clearance before production start-up and verify production readiness.
• Conduct hourly quality inspections during production and packing operations.
• Verify product weight, coding, labeling, sealing, and packaging integrity.
• Monitor CCPs and OPRPs as per HACCP plan requirements.
• Collect and retain production samples as per retention policy.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation for raw materials and finished products.
• Verify cleaning and sanitation activities before and after production.
• Monitor allergen control and cross-contamination prevention practices.
• Coordinate with production team to resolve quality-related issues in real time.
• Assist in product trials, validation, and process improvement activities.
• Report deviations immediately to QA/QC management.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support traceability and product recall mock exercises.
• Monitor storage conditions of raw materials and finished products in warehouse and chillers/freezers.
• Conduct verification of metal detector or other food safety control devices where applicable.
• Ensure proper handling and segregation of non-conforming products.
• Check personal hygiene of staff and enforce grooming standards.
• Monitor pest control measures and waste disposal processes.
• Assist in internal and external audits (regulatory or third-party).

Qualifications

• This position is open to **male** candidates only.
• **Hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment is required**; experience in manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing as quality control/ quality assurance/ hygiene officer.
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and Food Code regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and software for data logging and reporting.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Should be comfortable with shift timings
• Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000, and local UAE food regulations
• Experience in shelf-life extension and natural preservation techniques is a strong plus
