Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED 5+ years’ experience repairing facility equipment in a manufacturing environment or the military. Previous maintenance, facilities construction, or related experience preferred. Technical training or trade school education is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safety. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry system. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as a part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Good communication and customer skills. Commitiment to L&P Safety and Environmental initiatives. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools Ability to be exposed to mechanical equipment, noise, dust, and varying environmental conditions.
