Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting breakdowns, and completing repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
The role also involves implementing and documenting preventive maintenance schedules, monitoring spare parts inventory, and coordinating with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement.
The Maintenance Technician will follow safety standards, maintain accurate maintenance records, and support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong industrial maintenance skills, including experience in a manufacturing or printing/packaging environment.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair for mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and apply best practices to extend equipment life and reliability.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, breakdowns, and performance issues.
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance documentation.
- Working knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and safe use of tools and test equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with production, engineering, and external service providers.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required to support production operations.
- Previous experience in the label, packaging, or related industrial sector is an advantage.
