Role Description
The Owner role at Business & IP Centre in New Taipei City is a full-time, on-site position responsible for leading and overseeing the local business support operation.
The Owner will manage day-to-day activities, including supervising staff, coordinating workshops and events, and ensuring visitors receive high-quality guidance on business planning and intellectual property matters.
Responsibilities include developing partnerships with local organizations, promoting the Centre’s services, and ensuring that resources such as databases and learning materials are effectively used.
The Owner will monitor performance, manage budgets, and implement strategies to increase community engagement and service impact.
This role involves regular interaction with entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and industry experts to maintain a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business ownership, entrepreneurship, or senior management within a startup or small business environment.
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Knowledge of business planning, market research, and basic financial management, including budgeting and performance tracking.
- Familiarity with intellectual property concepts (e.g., trademarks, patents, copyrights) or a willingness to learn them quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to support and advise a diverse range of entrepreneurs.
- Ability to work on-site full time in New Taipei City and manage multiple projects, events, and priorities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in an advisory, training, or community-focused role is an advantage.
