Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable
Maintenance Engineer
to support operations at a metal
smelting and refining facility
in Dubai.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the
Tin/Lead manufacturing industry
, with hands-on expertise in the
maintenance of furnaces, kettles, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
specific to the Tin/Lead refining process.
The ideal candidate will have a
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
with hands-on experience in heavy industrial or metallurgical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment, including
- furnaces, kettles, electrical systems, and production machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of smelting and refining equipment
- Develop and follow maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with production teams to support uninterrupted plant operations
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, plant policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical reports
- Support installation, commissioning, and shutdown activities when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- **Minimum 3–6 years of relevant maintenance experience**
- in a similar industrial environment
- Proven experience in
- metal smelting, refining, foundry, or heavy manufacturing plants
- (highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of
- industrial furnaces, kettles, electrical panels, motors, and plant machinery
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and hands-on technical skills
- Familiarity with safety procedures in high-temperature and industrial settings
