Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Garage Accountant to join our automotive workshop team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the garage, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all accounting activities are completed efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain daily accounting records.
- Record customer invoices, supplier invoices, and payments.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash.
- Process payroll and staff expenses.
- Prepare VAT records and assist with tax compliance.
- Monitor workshop expenses and profitability.
- Maintain inventory and spare parts accounting records.
- Generate monthly financial reports for management.
- Coordinate with the operations and service teams regarding billing and payments.
- Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and organized.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (automotive garage experience is preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations in the UAE.
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Odoo, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive workshop or garage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
