Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measure, mark, and align workpieces using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain records of production, machine settings, and quality checks.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve machining processes.
& Skills
- Diploma / Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or related field.
- Proven experience (3–5 years) as a Machinist in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of machine operations, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming (preferred).
