Machinist - Deeside, UK

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience operating and programming CNC vertical machining centers, preferably Haas equipment including VF-Series machines.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, offset adjustments, and first-off inspections.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, work-holding methods, and precision measurement techniques.
• Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience with CNC programming using G-code and conversational programming methods.
• Knowledge of milling operations involving a wide variety of materials, including stainless steel, alloys, and specialty metals.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and the ability to modify machining programs when required.
• Understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection methods, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and workplace organization principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to machining processes, tooling, and equipment performance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for documentation, shift handovers, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision components.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures and best practices.
