Machine Operator

Role

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor structural steel manufacturing machinery.
• Load and unload materials, perform basic equipment checks, report mechanical issues, and assist with routine maintenance as directed.
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and production records to support accurate output and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement with supervisors and teammates.

Qualifications

• Strong machine operation skills and experience working with industrial machinery.
• Quality-control ability, including checking measurements, finishes, and production specifications.
• Practical experience with hand and basic mechanical tools for setup, adjustment, and minor repairs.
• Clear communication; ability to follow safety procedures, read basic technical drawings or instructions, and stand for extended periods.
• Steel, metals, or heavy-industry experience is beneficial.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; vocational or technical training in machining or mechanical trades is an advantage.
