Machine Operator

Job purpose

Production and quality responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust blending machines using batch-card specifications and schedules; monitor operations and adjust as recommended by the QC Chemist.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products and perform quality checks, including panel application.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance; troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate major problems.
• Follow safety protocols and required PPE; maintain housekeeping standards and participate in 5S audits.
• Keep production and quality records and complete batch and maintenance paperwork.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality-control colleagues to meet goals and improve efficiency and product quality.

Experience and qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in liquid paint manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Secondary school education or above; basic spoken and written English and basic numeracy.
• Able to read and follow batch cards, labels, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Detail-oriented, observant, physically fit for production tasks, and able to communicate and work in a team.
• Basic knowledge of production equipment, including HSDs, blenders, mixers, and material handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing HSE, raw materials, production processes, and quality-control principles.
