WRKFORCE is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in LV switchgear in Doha.
The role designs LV switchgear and panels, applies IEC standards, and prepares shop drawings for manufacturing.
The position is based at the switchgear factory in the Industrial Area, not in an office.
Responsibilities
- Design LV switchgear and panels, including MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, and control panels.
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings for manufacturing; ensure designs comply with relevant IEC standards.
- Review electrical-component specifications, assist with component selection, and verify busbar configurations and wiring layouts.
- Coordinate design queries with manufacturing and update documents based on production or quality-control feedback.
- Maintain revision and approval records and support technical submittals for client review.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality control, procurement, project management, and clients or consultants for design approval.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience specifically in LV switchgear or panel design, including MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, or control panels.
- Experience preparing LV panel designs and AutoCAD shop drawings for factory production.
- Dedicated LV-only design experience is required; mixed MV/LV profiles and profiles combining design with installation and testing are unsuitable.
- Switchgear manufacturing, busbar fabrication, panel wiring, testing, and quality control are preferred.
Salary
- Salary listed as 7,000–8,000 QAR; no pay cadence is stated.
