Lunch Recess Aide

Work Schedule: School Calendar/Times: Up to 29 hours per week

The Lunch/Recess Paraprofessionals provide supervision of students in the lunchroom and at the playground facilities to help ensure a safe and healthy school environment for students.

High School Diploma.

Preference will be given to candidate with prior work experience in an educational setting.

• 100% supervise students involved in various activities
• Assist in the supervision of large and small groups of students while they are in areas like the lunchroom, hallways, playground area, restrooms, and classrooms
• Supervise students during the lunch/recess/transition period in an area designated by the principal Encourage students to eat their lunch as soon as they have been seated Open containers and condiments and assist with cutting up food for students as needed Encourage students to stay on task of eating their meal by reminding them to remain seated and use inside voices Support students as they move through the customer service line in an orderly fashion Direct students to their seats Dismiss students when they are finished eating Assist in cleaning up the lunch area when needed Treat students in a courteous and kind manner
