Job Purpose

The Senior Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the ASB Logistics Division, covering fleet distribution, cold storage, dry storage, dispatch planning, and last-mile delivery activities.

The role ensures reliable, cost-effective, and compliant logistics operations for ASB internal requirements and approved third-party logistics customers, while maintaining cold-chain integrity, service quality, asset utilization, driver discipline, and operational reporting standards.

Transportation, Fleet & Distribution Operations

  • Manage daily fleet dispatch planning, vehicle allocation, driver assignments, and route scheduling.
  • Monitor on-time delivery performance, route efficiency, vehicle utilization, and delivery exceptions.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, registrations, permits, insurance requirements, and breakdown follow-up.
  • Monitor fuel consumption, GPS tracking, driver behavior, and fleet productivity reports.
  • Ensure the proper use of HACCP-certified chilled vehicles and maintain the required operating standards.

Warehouse, Cold Storage & Dry Storage Operations

  • Supervise receiving, storage, picking, staging, loading, dispatch, and inventory movement activities.
  • Ensure proper utilization of cold storage, frozen storage, and food-grade dry storage areas.
  • Monitor temperature logs, storage conditions, product handling, housekeeping, and stock accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Production, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Quality teams to support daily requirements.
  • Ensure warehouse activities are conducted in line with food safety, hygiene, and audit requirements.

Last-Mile Delivery & Route Performance

  • Supervise multi-drop and short-radius last-mile delivery operations for internal routes and approved external customers.
  • Monitor route density, stop efficiency, delivery windows, failed deliveries, and customer handover requirements.
  • Implement corrective actions for delays, missed deliveries, returns, customer complaints, or recurring route issues.
  • Support same-day, scheduled, and priority delivery models based on operational requirements.

Cold Chain, Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, municipality, ADAFSA, transport, health and safety, and company requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for temperature control, vehicle cleanliness, delivery records, incidents, and audits.
  • Coordinate with QHSE for inspections, non-conformities, corrective actions, and employee awareness.
  • Ensure safe handling of chilled, frozen, and ambient food products throughout the logistics cycle.

Team Leadership & Manpower Supervision

  • Supervise drivers, warehouse staff, cold store personnel, dispatch coordinators, and logistics clerks.
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, shift coverage, discipline, grooming, safety behavior, and job performance.
  • Coach team members, conduct toolbox talks, and support training on delivery standards, food safety, and customer service.
  • Escalate manpower gaps, recurring performance issues, and operational risks to management.

Customer Service & Internal Coordination

  • Act as the operational focal point for logistics service issues and daily coordination with internal departments and external customers.
  • Support customer onboarding, service-level requirements, delivery instructions, route plans, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure prompt response to customer complaints and timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Maintain service standards in line with approved SLAs, internal transfer requirements, and business expectations.

Reporting, KPIs & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports covering delivery performance, fleet utilization, warehouse utilization, service issues, and cost drivers.
  • Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, delivery accuracy, temperature compliance, vehicle downtime, fuel efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer complaints.
  • Recommend improvements in routing, manpower deployment, storage utilization, cost control, safety, and service quality.
  • Support management with data required for cost allocation, internal SLA tracking, and Logistics Division performance reporting.

Education Level

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related field.

· Diploma holders may be considered where supported by strong and directly relevant logistics leadership experience.

Relevant Years Of Experience & Industry Background

· Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or fleet operations.

· Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

· Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, cold-chain logistics, 3PL operations, UAE distribution, last-mile delivery, or temperature-controlled transportation is strongly preferred.

Professional Certifications

· HACCP or Food Safety certification is preferred.

· Additional certifications such as CILT, APICS / CLTD, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or related logistics / supply chain certifications are an advantage.
