Logistics Supervisor

Role Purpose

• The Logistics Supervisor runs SPT's day-to-day logistics operations, moving inbound and outbound freight reliably, lawfully and on cost.
• The role coordinates customs clearance through the Company's contracted broker, engages and supervises third-party hauliers, and directly supervises the Company's own fleet operations.
• As the Company builds its own fleet, the role takes operational charge of it, working alongside the Logistics Coordinator on scheduling, documentation and records.
• Key responsibilitiesFreight movement
• Plan and supervise inbound and outbound freight movements across the Group against agreed delivery requirements.
• Track shipments end to end and resolve delays, exceptions and discrepancies promptly.
• Coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator on scheduling, sequencing and documentation so movements run to plan.
• Customs clearance
• Manage the relationship with the contracted third-party customs-clearance broker and own the clearance workflow.
• Prepare and check the documentation the broker requires, and follow each consignment through to release.
• Keep clearance moving to schedule and escalate holds, queries or duty issues without delay.
• Outsourced and subcontracted transport
• Engage and supervise third-party hauliers, agreeing rates within approved limits and confirming capacity to demand.
• Monitor haulier performance on time, cost, condition and compliance, and act on shortfalls.
• Maintain a reliable pool of subcontracted transport to meet peaks and growth.
• Own-fleet supervision
• Directly supervise the Company's fleet operators, allocating work, routes and loads.
• Oversee vehicle readiness, servicing schedules and roadworthiness in coordination with administration.
• Take operational charge of the own fleet as it expands, supervising additional drivers as they join.
• Documentation and compliance
• Ensure each movement carries correct documentation: delivery notes, manifests, and permits where required.
• Maintain accurate movement records and hand documentation to the Logistics Coordinator for the function's records.
• Confirm regulatory permits and approvals are in place before movements proceed.
• HSE and cost control
• Enforce HSE compliance across transport operations, including safe loading, securing and movement of cargo.
• Apply dangerous-goods movement controls where chemicals or oilfield cargo are carried.
• Control logistics costs against the logistics budget and report variances to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
• People supervision
• Allocate, brief and supervise the fleet operators, set daily priorities and check output.
• Support driver discipline, attendance, conduct and basic competence in line with Company policy.
• Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
