About This Role
• Fleet Management & Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of heavy trucks and trailers to ensure operational readiness.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and manage breakdown/repair activities.
- Maintain vehicle service records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with external workshops and service providers for repairs and maintenance contracts.
Licensing & Compliance
- Ensure timely renewal of all vehicle registrations, permits, and licenses.
- Monitor compliance with UAE traffic laws and transport regulations.
- Manage insurance renewals and documentation for all fleet vehicles.
Traffic & Transport Coordination
- Manage daily fleet movements and ensure smooth traffic operations.
- Coordinate with the shipping department to plan trailer routes and optimize delivery schedules.
- Arrange dispatch of drivers to ports for container collection and ensure timely turnaround.
- Monitor route efficiency and implement improvements to reduce delays and costs.
Driver Supervision
- Supervise and manage drivers’ daily activities and assignments.
- Ensure drivers comply with safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and conduct.
- Coordinate driver schedules, shifts, and leave planning.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with internal departments (shipping, warehouse, procurement) to support logistics operations.
- Address operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, or route disruptions.
- Maintain accurate reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, and traffic performance.
