Logistics Manager - MRO

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and day-to-day operation of the MRO logistics facility, maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, review KPIs, and evaluate process changes to improve logistics productivity.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, and training for the logistics team.
• Lead and mentor staff, ensuring competence for customer deliverables and health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate relationships and communication among logistics staff, stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Guide information flow and review operational impacts.

Essential requirements

• Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the required Australian Government Defence security clearance.
• Significant Defence or similar logistics experience, including supply chain and asset management.
• Ability to troubleshoot logistics issues and develop effective solutions to minimize delays.
• Significant knowledge of safety, security, and regulatory compliance for logistics operations.
• Extensive warehouse, aviation supply-chain, materials-management, and Logistics Supply Support experience.
• Extensive experience managing and developing logistics teams.
• Experience planning material management and equipment for a technically complex facility.

Desirable qualifications and experience

• Logistics or Supply Chain Management qualifications are desirable.
• Advanced S4 Hanna or similar SAP skills are desirable.
• Defence logistics experience and aviation technical experience are desirable.
