Logistics Manager

About This Role

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This includes procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely shipments
• Oversee import/export processes, including documentation and customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and standards
• Monitor KPIs such as delivery times, transportation costs, and service levels
• Identify and resolve logistics issues or delays promptly
• Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to align logistics plans
• Lead and manage the logistics team, including training and performance evaluation

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 3 years experience as Logistics Manager (preferably Arabic Speaker)
• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, import/export procedures, and documentation
• Experience with ERP systems and logistics software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or food industry (especially export/import operations)
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms
• Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) are an advantage
