Team, fleet, routing, and delivery

  • Direct the Warehouse & Logistics Administrator on logistics work, set daily priorities, and train them on purchase order status management and logistics processes.

  • Track cost per delivery, including fuel, tolls, and overtime; schedule vehicle maintenance and recommend fleet changes based on utilization data.
  • Build and optimize routes; own Route4Me configuration and daily operation; track vehicle locations and delivery status.
  • Schedule delivery and installation appointments and confirm them with customers.

  • Resolve freight exceptions, damages, and shortages with carriers and vendors, including claims through settlement; audit invoices and dispute rate discrepancies.
  • Plan inventory transfers between locations, balance stock to demand, track in-transit inventory, confirm receipt, and reconcile transfer records to system inventory.
  • Track purchase orders through receipt, keep Sales informed of committed dates, and coordinate vendor lead times, production schedules, and delivery windows.
  • Manage direct-ship and drop-ship orders, confirm customer delivery, and escalate supply disruptions that threaten committed dates.

Reconciliation and reporting

  • Reconcile work orders against delivered and installed items; identify and document reasons for returns and reroutes.
  • Provide weekly exception reporting on returns, reroutes, and failed deliveries.
  • Compile return and reroute history to establish performance baselines, assess operations, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain ongoing reporting on logistics performance, including fleet utilization and cost per delivery.
