Role overview
The employer seeks a Logistics Department & Business Development Manager for 2PL/3PL logistics services.
The role combines logistics operations, business development, sales, and commercial relationship management, with a focus on achieving business targets.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and warehousing; managerial and leadership experience is preferred.
- Proven 2PL/3PL and integrated logistics services experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience combining logistics operations management with business development and sales.
- Experience in warehouse management, transportation, distribution, and customs clearance.
- Experience developing, implementing, and improving SOPs.
- Proven experience in customer acquisition, business development, negotiation, and closing deals and contracts.
- Track record of achieving sales, revenue, and KPI targets.
- Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office, with strong reporting and analytical skills.
Preferred and domain experience
- Experience with commercial contracts, pricing, and deal profitability analysis is preferred.
- Strong logistics and warehousing experience in 2PL/3PL operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, dispatch, transportation, and delivery.
- Experience managing warehouses and logistics operations, including operational procedure development.
- Experience in shipping, transportation, distribution, and customs clearance.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage logistics operations and business development and sales activities.
- Acquire customers, manage commercial relationships, negotiate, and close deals and contracts.
- Manage warehouse, transportation, distribution, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery operations.
- Develop and improve operational procedures and translate customer requirements into suitable logistics solutions.
- Work toward sales, revenue, and KPI targets.
