Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, order fulfillment, and shipment coordination; improve logistics strategy, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Manage transport schedules, routes, shipment arrangements, distribution, and resource allocation to support timely delivery and productivity.
• Coordinate suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs brokers, and other logistics partners; manage provider relationships and negotiate rates and service terms.
• Monitor inventory, stock movements, warehouse activity, and inventory records; establish KPIs for delivery accuracy, on-time performance, costs, and warehouse efficiency.
• Analyze logistics performance, identify operational improvements, and evaluate systems and technologies for tracking, visibility, reporting, and coordination.
• Ensure shipping documentation and operations comply with transport, customs, import/export, trade, safety, and company requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, customer service, finance, warehouse teams, and external stakeholders on supply-chain activities.
• Manage budgets and expenses, identify savings, anticipate disruptions, and create contingency plans.
• Lead, supervise, and train logistics personnel; establish operating procedures and investigate delays, damaged or lost goods, and complaints.
• Prepare management reports and cost analyses; maintain delivery, inventory, and logistics records.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Transportation Manager, or in a similar logistics role.
• A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, transport planning, warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution.
• Experience managing logistics teams, coordinating shipments, and overseeing daily operations.
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of shipping documents, freight management, customs, and import/export requirements.
• Microsoft Excel and reporting-tool proficiency; ERP, WMS, or TMS familiarity is an advantage.
• Understanding of logistics costs, budgets, KPIs, cost optimization, and process improvement.
• Experience with logistics partners is an advantage; prior international, cross-border, e-commerce fulfillment, or 3PL experience is also an advantage.
• Relevant professional logistics, supply-chain, or transportation certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements; ability to identify supply-chain risks and develop contingency plans.
