Role overview

Site logistics coordination

• Coordinate deliveries, vehicle movements, materials, plant, personnel, access, haul roads, loading and unloading areas, laydown areas, and construction compounds.
• Track contractor activities, actions, constraints, and planned work; maintain trackers, schedules, action logs, and progress reports.
• Review upcoming activities for logistics clashes and access issues; attend daily and weekly coordination meetings and follow up actions.
• Carry out regular site inspections to verify logistics arrangements are implemented correctly.
• Update logistics plans, site layouts, drawings, and records of temporary roads, routes, logistics areas, and site changes.
• Support preparation and review of contractor logistics plans and associated documents.
• Coordinate logistics interfaces with construction, security, health and safety, facilities, and other project teams; assist with traffic management and temporary access.
• Monitor target dates, escalate delays and constraints, produce weekly progress updates, support contractor and facility mobilisation or demobilisation, and keep project information current.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant qualification in construction, logistics, engineering, or a related discipline, and relevant health and safety or site-based construction qualifications.
• Relevant experience in construction logistics, construction coordination, or site logistics, with practical knowledge of construction site operations.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors or work packages and tracking construction activities through project trackers and action logs.
• Good understanding of vehicle movements, deliveries, haul roads, access routes, laydown areas, and site compounds.
• Technical or trade background in construction is advantageous.

Digital tools

• Confident with project systems and digital tools, including Excel for trackers, schedules, and reporting, as well as Word and PowerPoint.
• AutoCAD or similar drawing software is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with document management or construction project management systems is desirable.

Work arrangements

• The role includes regular site inspections and coordination in a construction-site environment.
