Skills & Competencies

• Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and, for many roles, international shipping/customs regulations.
• Organizational Skills & Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple shipments, track orders, and manage schedules concurrently.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams, often across different time zones.
• Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with logistics software such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Ability to analyze disruptions (e.g., transit delays, shortages) and quickly implement solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in managing documentation (invoices, packing lists) and tracking inventory to prevent costly errors.
• Time Management & Urgency: Prioritizing tasks to meet strict delivery deadlines.
• Customer Service & Negotiation: Building relationships with carriers to optimize transport costs and maintaining high service levels for customers

Education & Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration/Logistics/Supply Chain or business (or equivalent discipline).
