The Senior Logistics Coordinator manages end-to-end logistics for clinical samples and materials, with responsibility for timely, compliant, and cost-effective execution.
The role supervises a Logistics Coordinator team and coordinates vendors and internal stakeholders.
Logistics and team operations
- Oversee sample collection, movement, handover, and delivery across locations within defined TATs, SLAs, and SOPs.
- Monitor delays, exceptions, and escalations and ensure timely closure.
- Manage the coordinator team, allocate shifts and workloads, monitor performance, and train and support staff.
Vendors and materials
- Coordinate logistics and collection partners and monitor service quality and SLA adherence.
- Support vendor and route optimization for improved efficiency and cost.
- Monitor logistics materials and consumables, coordinate replenishment, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials where applicable.
Tracking and coordination
- Maintain trackers, dashboards, and MIS for TAT, pending cases, exceptions, vendor performance, and costs.
- Support cost tracking and reconciliation and identify savings opportunities.
- Coordinate with Sales, Command Center, Laboratory, Finance, and Operations teams on handovers and urgent needs.
- Maintain SOP and documentation requirements and implement corrective actions and workflow improvements.
Candidate profile
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, healthcare logistics, sample logistics, accessioning, supply chain, or operations.
- Team coordination or people-management experience is preferred.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and MIS, and ability to manage stakeholders and time-sensitive operations.
- Diagnostics, pathology, healthcare, or clinical-sample logistics experience is an advantage.
