Summary/Objective
Local Delivery Driver’s primary responsibilities include transporting company products to clients, carrying out vehicle maintenance checks and interacting with clients in a professional manner. One World Transportation is a physical, fast-paced, position that involves deliveries to California businesses, and handling of packages that typically weigh between 20 - 60 lbs. and may weigh up to 80 lbs. Delivery Drivers must have excellent customer interaction and safe and courteous driving skills.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Local Deliveries ( CA, AZ & Nevada ).
Operate a 53 ft. refrigerated delivery truck weighing up to 80,000 lbs. gross.
Perform daily, on-time deliveries to customers throughout CA, AZ & Nevada.
Clean and maintain delivery trucks (interior and exterior) daily.
Maintain maintenance records and delivery log documentation.
Perform pick-up and drop-off of product inventory.
Safeguard truck, inventory, and payments.
Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles.
Comply with state’s vehicle code, along with all state and federal laws, regulations and all OWT policies and procedures.
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
Conduct and complete any other duties requested.
Requirements
- 1. A valid, regular Class A driver’s license
- 2. Knowledge of Southern California routes and cities
- 3. Clean and safe DMV driving record
- 4. Clean background check
- 5. Ability to operate material handling equipment
- 6. Ability to lift heavy products up to 80LBs
- 7. Pass physical test
- 8. At least 21 years of age
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
Ability to operate a vehicle safely and in compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
