Skills & Attributes
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to originate, structure, and close deals independently.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with credibility at senior/executive level.
- Sound quantitative and contractual skills; comfortable with financial modelling and deal economics.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, global market.
- Cultural fluency and comfort working across time zones with teams in London, Singapore, Houston, and other regional offices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, energy economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages relevant to target markets (e.g. Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish) are advantageous.
- Location Notes:
- London: role sits within the Commodities: Origination division and reports into a US-based VP-Business Development & Origination, working closely with counterparts in Singapore and Houston.
- Singapore: role reports into a US-based VP-Business Development & Origination within the Commodities: Origination division, with close coordination with London and Houston offices.
- Houston: role sits in EQT's Houston office with global travel required
- Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
