This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate: The Literacy tutor works side by side with the school reading specialists to help students improve early literacy skills, including phonemic awareness and fluency.

High school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience NA Licenses and Certifications Teacher licensure in grades K-8 preferred. License must be an active Virginia license to receive the licensed rate. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ? Ability to relate to children, teacher, and other school staff ? Knowledge of educational evidence-based best practices in education ?
