About This Role

Are you a financial specialist with a meticulous eye for detail and a talent for bringing complex business cycles to a precise close? Lighthouse-SP is looking for a dedicated Liquidation Accountant to join our professional services team in Doha.

As a key player in our corporate services division, you will manage the financial winding-up process for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring every balance sheet is settled with integrity and regional compliance.

The Role: Liquidation Accountant

This isn't your standard "month-end" accounting role. You will be the financial architect of the dissolution process, navigating the transition from active operations to final settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Final Accounts Preparation: Draft comprehensive "Statement of Affairs" and final liquidator accounts for companies entering voluntary or compulsory liquidation.
• Asset Realization: Record and track the sale of company assets, ensuring maximum value is captured for creditors and shareholders.
• Liability Settlement: Systematically verify and prioritize creditor claims in accordance with Qatar Commercial Companies Law.
• Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) and Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) to ensure all statutory filings are completed.
• Tax Clearance: Liaise with the General Tax Authority (GTA) to obtain final tax clearances and navigate "Capital Gains" implications during closure.

What We’re Looking For

• The Professional: A Degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, or CMA) are highly desirable.
• The Expert: 3+ years of experience in accounting, with specific exposure to liquidation, insolvency, or audit.
• The Strategist: Deep understanding of Qatar’s legal and tax framework regarding business termination.
• The Communicator: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a major advantage for navigating local government portals and legal documents.
• The Anchor: Highly organized, ethical, and capable of working under the strict timelines dictated by legal proceedings.
