About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the continuous availability, performance, and security of critical IT infrastructure and applications, including both standard and custom-built solutions, to support operational requirements
- Monitor organizational systems and applications to guarantee they remain operational and secure
- Provide Tier 2 support for Linux OS and services by deploying and managing critical components of the Linux ecosystem - including enterprise and FOSS applications, infrastructure systems, backup solutions, and security services - both on premises and in cloud environments to ensure effective deployment, scalability, and security
- Conduct regular health checks on system and network components to preempt potential issues
- Execute comprehensive data backup and restoration strategies to safeguard critical information
- Identify, diagnose, and promptly resolve escalated technical issues while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs)
- Ensure continuous adherence to relevant security policies, standards, and frameworks by integrating regular audits and best practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Desired certifications: RHCE, VCP-DCV, Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL
- 7+ years of experience administering Linux-based service platforms
- Expertise in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux services (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, LDAP, BIND, GlusterFS, NFS, Postfix, RabbitMQ)
- Proven understanding of Linux security practices and disaster recovery planning
- Experience with hardware platforms such as VxRail, HPE, and Nutanix
- Proven experience in or knowledge of TCP/IP and network diagnostics
- Working knowledge of network management tools (e.g., Zabbix) and IT ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk)
- Strong understanding of network and system architectures (including HLD and LLD)
- Experience in VMware vCenter management
- Experience in application deployment and management (e.g., GitLab, Mattermost)
- Familiarity with centralized logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk)
