Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations and/or box truck to transport trailers between service centers and turn-point locations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using approved freight handling equipment
- Secure cargo and maintain load integrity
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route updates, delays, hazards, and incidents
- Complete drop-and-hook operations and adjust trailer configurations as needed
- Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and state transportation regulations
- Follow Company safety policies and vehicle accident reporting procedures
- Operate safely and report to work well-rested and prepared
- Complete required paperwork and electronic logging documentation
- Support additional transportation duties as needed
- Able to Drive a Tractor and 53’ Trailer ft. and 26 foot box truck and over 21 as well as work over nights.
Qualifications
- Must provide a clean MVR (dated within 30 days of application)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum 2 Year driving box trucks experience
- Working knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations
- Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Forklift certified or ability to become certified
- Ability to read and follow directions in English
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and occasional rain
- Ability to safely complete assigned routes and required documentation
- Must pass: Pre-employment drug screening Background check FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and requirements
