Combines lighting design knowledge with commercial sourcing and procurement.
Selects luminaires from international brands to meet project specifications and secure competitive pricing.
Responsibilities
- Source architectural and decorative lighting products from manufacturers and suppliers.
- Evaluate quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and negotiate competitive prices.
- Review lighting specifications, datasheets, and material submittals for compliance.
- Recommend luminaires balancing performance, quality, aesthetics, and cost.
- Calculate lighting and assess illumination levels against applicable standards.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and estimation teams for compliance and timely procurement.
- Track purchase orders, material availability, and delivery schedules through completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a stated relevant discipline.
- Solid knowledge of leading international architectural and decorative lighting brands and products.
- Strong understanding of lighting calculations, illumination requirements, control systems, and standards.
- Proficiency in DIALux or DIALux evo.
- Ability to interpret lighting specifications, product datasheets, and technical submittals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
